The Thumble Controller Builder creates a portable keypad draft inside ChatGPT. Preview the layout, download it, and approve the final installation in Thumble Mac. No terminal, MCP configuration file, developer mode, or Rust host is required.

How it works

1. Add Thumble Controller Builder from the ChatGPT plugin directory.
2. Describe the game or workflow, key bindings, orientation, and layout you want.
3. Review the rendered controller and ask for revisions.
4. Ask ChatGPT to prepare the Thumble download.
5. Open the .thumblecontroller file and approve it in Thumble Mac.

• “Make a one-handed terminal keypad with Copy, Paste, Search, Command Palette, and a large trackpad.”

Safety

The plugin cannot inspect installed profiles, connect to your local network, press keys, run shell commands, attach applications, or install a controller. Portable drafts use semantic key names and exclude files, paths, credentials, raw key codes, and launch targets. Thumble always installs an approved draft as a new setup while preserving the current and default setups.
